Innuos kan køre med Squeezebox eller Roon integration. Squeezebox er gratis.
Roon kører 100% alene på Innuos’en (altså som samlet Core+Endpoint) og er desværre bedre end
Squeezebox rent lydmæssigt. Jeg er dog endt med at blive helt glad for Roon – især fordi Roon
integrerer afspilningen af musikken fra Innuos HD og Tidal. Med Squeezebox var der lidt mere
opdeling mellem de 2 kilder.
Jeg skal ikke gøre mig klog på Amanero - men som Ronni skriver ovenfor, handler det vel også om
implementeringen? Men uanset hvad kan du læse begejstringen på head-fi.
Tidligere havde jeg en rimeligt rost Matrix X-spdif 2 pimpet op med rigtig god liniær strømforsyning,
der også fødte en ISO Regen reclocker. Samlet var det dyrere end Audio GD'en – men den var langt
bedre.
Og så glemte jeg i øvrigt at nævnt, at jeg fået en boks mere, da Audio GD’en kan køre med ekstern
clock 😊
Så antallet af bokse kan klart være et problem for nogle!!
Ift reclocking tænkte jeg det samme som dig.
Jeg sendte derfor dette spørgsmål til Innous efter at have læse om Phoenix’en:

The Audio GD must reclock the signal as it have an internal clock (and I have great benefit on a new
external masterclock)
When I got the Audio GD, I had an Uptone IsoRegen reclocker which made no or very little sound-
difference, so I sold it.
Have You any idea if I would benefit from a “Phoenix USB Reclocker”?
Does the Phoenix do the same as the Audio GD (except missing SPDIF output)?
From the reviews I can see that the Phoenix does a good job 😊 - but so do the Audio GD.
So the only questions is maybe if the Phoenix does the reclocking better than the Audio GD?

Yes, the PhoenixUSB will make quite a significant improvement. The reason for this is because the
PhoenixUSB uses the 3 parts per billion clock to improve the timing data only, which the Audio GD will
be reliant on from the source. The Phoenix does not reclock the audio stream itself.
The Audio GD is different because it is does reclock the entire audio signal as part of the USB to SPDIF
alteration. It will do a much better job of this because of the improved timing data from the
PhoenixUSB.
Although the Audio GD is USB/SPDIF converter, this is still basically the same section as found within a
DAC which the PhoenixUSB directly aims to improve.

I would imagine the Matrix revealed more of a difference using the ISO Regen because it was clearly a
lot more susceptible to power noise etc, with a lot of switch mode power supplies involved that
generally should be avoided. I can see the GD takes the PSU section quite seriously which i expect
accounts for a very significant part of the difference you are hearing, rather than completely on the
clocks.
I would say adding the PhoenixUSB is going to make the bigger positive difference to your system
than upgrading your ZEN to ZENith, because as i say the Audio GD will then have much more precise
timing data to work from when it performs its own conversion.
